No the market saw the one franchise that THQ owns that was generating proven profits take a walk. Looking down stream the market may have seen Quest and Rugrats etc (all unproven in the market place) but combined with WCW the risk was worth a much higher PE -- now THQ's future is much -- much riskier (as far as the market is concerned) The more risk in the future -- the lower the PE.
Unproven products like Quest and Rugrats are far riskier to bet on withour a flagship like WCW to balance that risk -- that's why until one of those games prove extremely provitable (and Quest is our earliest and best chance) we will not recover very much -- and BTW if Quest is a bomb $20 is going to look like a very high price. But Quest won't bomb in my opinion -- now if I can only hold on to my shares til June.....

What worries me a bit is how much the THQI discussion resembles IOM.

Other than very brief periods IOM has been in a dive since its bubble burst. It may prove true that THQI never recovers from this blow. Or, even if the company does, there are no guarantees that investors will ever come back in.

I thought we would see some rebound after yesterday's selling. Instead, we're faced with another massive sell-off. At some point this may turn into an outright panic. It is not too unusual to see an issue lose 80% of its value on bad news before a recovery commences.
