Hi, Emile!

Welcome to the Feelings thread. I was not exactly asking whether Jesus BECAME a homosexual, although I do understand what you are saying about Him taking on all the sins of mankind (from a Christian viewpoint).

I really don't believe that anyone BECOMES a homosexual voluntarily, however. I think the Christians did the best they could with the knowledge they had two thousand years ago, and there is even an argument to be made, if you read the last hundred posts or so, that Sodom and Gomorrah had absolutely nothing to do with God punishing homosexuals at all.

But leaving all those issues of interpretation aside, modern science offers a lot of evidence that homosexuality is not voluntary, and may have quite a bit to do with hormones during the prenatal period. To me, that makes it more like a disability than a predilection.

Do you think it is fair to take human and civil rights away from homosexuals like we do in America, if it is proved that this is a medical handicap of sorts?
