I'm not sure how these two affiliates merging makes NN's price jump as it's public knowledge all the affiliates will either be spun off or consolidated.

I would guess there's more substantial reasons for NN's strength than that.

Actually, after reading Cisco's 10Q, and seeing once again the need for network management systems to bring different infrastructures together, I can't understand why NN's star spinoff, CKEYF, isn't soaring. I guess few know of its existence. Admittedly, I'm a shareholder and somewhat biased. :)
