Koogle "corrected" that one, but not the market value. Wouldn't want to point out that the MV was really 29% more than CNBC reported.

Actually, they only made money on a proforma basis. A few people out their still look at reported numbers, i.e. GAAP Net Income. Old fashioned, I know, in this age of assuming away anything negative. What can I say? I'm an old fashioned guy. I still think accounting shouldn't be an art.

75% of the float? Then it must be institutions doing all this day trading. I am willing to bet that institutional ownership has been drastically reduced, that the short interest is drastically higher and that the shorts get one more hand slapping back to 88 or 90.

Did anyone get that article in the WSJ that said hedge funds were lining up to short? That's pretty odd that that is announced. Either they already have their position or someone was trying to scare the longs out of the stock.

I'm not real impressed yet on this drop. We should have seen a better reversal down into the 70's. Maybe we'll see it tomorrow. It's been a pretty sedate decline so far. With all the bad press of the last few days, we should have had some panic selling. But could be all the day traders are keeping it from doing that. The volume has been unbelievable!

I was so impressed that institutions now own 75% of the float

Suggest that you read today's IBD and read the article on "Investor's Corner". A high percentage of the stock owned by funds is not a good sign. Who is going to be the buyer when the majority of the stock has been bought. Probably the small investors are sucked in thinking the stock will reach the sky. Then the sector rotation will start and funds managers begin unloading - if not already. You can see that there is selling pressure on Yahoo.
