It turns out that the real story is that members of the Japanese parliament and Bank of Japan have been trading in the securities market with insider information and the arrests are bringing all of this out into the open. You can imagine how it would have been if when Chrysler was looking for a bailout we found that members of Congress had been speculating in Chrysler stock. Hashimoto will be in Indonesia this weekend talking to Suharto. Maybe Japan is ready to send in troops to get back the money owed its banks. <G>
