My view on shorting these days:

Even though the current stratospheric prices make shorting very tempting make sure you have the dove and guts to see your puppies getting to price levels you would never thought possible. IMO, what has been going on with stocks like ZITL, BFIT and other popular short stocks has been the result not only of momentum investors, mutual funds, foreigners, etc. buying, but also people specifically targeting stocks with large short positions so that shorts increase the demand for the stock, and thus the price. Therefore, if you must short; short a position that would allow you comfortably take a significant price gain without covering and sleep well at night. IMO it is silly to be forced to cever at this ridiculous prices just because the roof of your utility curve is pushing against your head.

I have not covered and intend not to cover any high flying short but must admit that I do not feel a sense of urgency in a stock such as YHOO , compared to AOL because my YHOO position is only about 1/4 as lerge.
