Dow Jones Newswires -- March 12, 1998 Periphonics, Daimler Benz To Deliver Speech Recognition Tech Dow Jones Newswires NEW YORK -- Periphonics Corp. (PERI) agreed to integrate its OSCAR VPS speech recognition hardware/software with a phone-based speech recognition technology from a division of Daimler Benz AG's (DAI) Aerospace unit. In a press release Thursday, Periphonics said it will integrate Daimler Benz's Dasa unit StarRec speech recognition product for use in its high volume computer telephony markets. Periphonics develops and markets products and services for computer telephony integration and for telecom enhanced network services.
