Semibull, *** OT re SVGI ***

1. Last time I looked at book, it was $17.98.

2. I believe the lithography promise was the key driver to $37/share.

3. The other divisions were suffering due, I believe, to problems in developing the APS-200 platform. I haven't seen a definitive statement one way or the other on whether it's now bugfree.

4. Success will come from "selling" an increasing number of Micrascans, IMO. Where increasing is at least 100 units this year, at least 170 units in CY 99 and more than 200 units in 2000. Track and thermco are gravy (about 1/3 of the lithography revenues), but very nice gravy to have. i.e. - they give SVGI a strategic advantage over every other lithography competitor but only if they work consistently.

5. Last week I believed that they would sell all lithography tools they could make even if all their salesforce died. This week, I have doubts.

6. I believe that both Canon and ASMLF have shipped scanners. I don't know about Nikon. To date, only SVGI has DUV scanners on production lines. It's like the Komatsu/Cymer story. Yes Komatsu has shipped lasers but none have made it to production fab lines yet.

7. I still don't know what I'll do: dump, hold, or buy.

Ian.
