The company cannot comment on information like that. Even if it is true, especially if it is true, it would have to be addressed in a press release.

As someone has pointed out on the Yahoo! newsgroup, this individual was questioned about soft-drink availability. Whether you get it from the new cafeteria, or from the old kitchen in the main building, soft-drinks have always been free: you never had to pay for them (at least when I worked there). Plus, there are other nuances in ExAFFXer's statements that didn't quite ring true to me. In any event, you are right about confidentiality: if this person left the company recently, he/she is breaking an agreement that all employees sign, despite ExAFFXer's comments about selling stock first (that makes no difference and does not release you from the agreement). So if this isn't a hoax, this person may be in deep poo. -- Doctor Goodhybe
