Allen,
Ramsey Su posted an article from Hong Kong about Qualcomm entering the palm top market with a revolutionary new smart phone based on 3Com's PalmPilot model that QCom recently licensed. Belk, VP of QCom's marketing subscriber products division, said that "a final decision has not been made over which operating system would be used." The Palm-like operating system is mentioned. My question for you is, do you believe WIND and VxWorks is in the hunt to be selected as the operating system? With their recent licensing and acquisition of a GUI this would seem to be right up their alley. The potential for a QCom smart phone seems economically huge, given their clear advantage using CDMA relative to GSM in transmitting data and the fact that the phone is already a modem.
Thanks,
Don
