Nice link Jean, No mention of biometrics on Mag-Tek website. magtek.com Hmmmm, small ( $35 million in revenue ) privately held company being mentioned with some big boys. Let the rumors begin! Actually I had a hit on a Mag-Tek + Identix search, but alas the link was expired. As for the stock price, whoa is us, nobody interested at the moment. At least volume is drying up with the downtrend. o+u

Jean, that is the story I found. We're mining the same database, but I don't have the ability to link it. J.: I have found an "Alexander Holding Corp." in Queens, NY, with a couple of minor judgments against them, but I have no idea what they do. I don't think the report you saw was accurate, or they would have shown up on a screen. Certainly, there has been no funny business with preferred stock ownership that could explain the low price. Barclay's actually had sold a few shares of IDX, last report I saw.

"Not for me it's not. Key Provisions of the bill - With that in mind, the bill would make the following into law: * Biometric data must not be sold, transmitted, exchanged or provided to third parties, including affiliated companies. * Access to biometric identifiers must be restricted and secure from tampering. Procedures must be in place safeguarding them as tightly as any other confidential information. * Consumers must be notified of policy before conducting a transaction involving biometrics. * When a person's voice is being recorded and collected for use as a biometric identification, they must be notified. I believe that this bill highlights some of the attractive features of IDX's pattern recognition algorithm - - can't reproduce fingerprints from template - can only be used for 1:1 matching This is why Randy is so willing to comment on the legislation.
