<< In the alternative God could have created a perfectly manipulated machine that could do no wrong. >> Or, God could have created a human race less prone to evil deeds. He could've created "human nature" a little nicer. It wouldn't have meant that everyone was a robot. But, instead, He chose to create some with latent evil dispositions, and others that can not do evil things. I have no free will, when it comes to harming others. I just can't do it. That is not a choice that I can make. It is how I was created. I don't consider myself a robot, or a manipulated machine. I thank God that he created me with that matrix of DNA. How about you, Shalom? Each day do you have to decide whether or not you will harm someone else? Each day do you have the temptation to do evil things to others, and then you sit down, ponder evil deeds for a while, and then use your free will to say "NO! Not today! Today I have decided not to do evil deeds to other people!". <g> << He also could have seen to it by manipulative design that we all love and worship Him.....now that would be perfect?....Or would it?.... >> I would've preferred if he created mankind with a gentler soul and free will. Man would still have had the free will to worship and to love any God that they choose. << Consider a robot child....cold and programmed to love and obey us....How would we really know if it loved us?...should we care?...Would we care... >> I've met some parents, who, unfortunately, had "bad seeds" for children. In their cases I think that it would've been better to have robot children. In fact, it would be interesting to take a survey of parents. You might be surprised by the results. ( : > } )==== Certain breeds of dogs are nastier than others. I find the more friendly breeds more to my liking. But, I don't consider dogs as robots either. Each dog that I have owned has had it's unique and loving personality. I would've preferred God to have created mankind with a little bit of "dog goodness" built in. << We all make choices every day and Thank God we can.. >> But, do decent men have to decide, on a daily basis, whether they will do harm or evil to others? There are evil, or indecent, men who do harm to others solely for the pleasure it gives them. It comes easy to them. Is this free will? There are men that enjoy killing children, and who have no remorse. Do they have free will? Not really. They have been programmed, by God, thru their DNA to be indecent predators. I feel that God created you with free will AND as a decent man. Have a nice day, Bob
