Purething, OK, I have just ran into the problem in real life. I have been blessed with the best neighbors since I moved in here 10 years ago. One side is a small parkette, (Best neighbour). Next door changed hands 4 times, divorce, death, and illness, every one was great and found it mutually beneficial to get along and put up with each others idiocincracies. My yard etc. is admittedly scragilly, sort of left to do it's own thing. This new neighbor , who moved in two months ago , immediately started to change everything, clean, clean, clean...remove sticks, burn , piled tons of garbage on the front to be removed Widened his driveway.. and here may be the hitch, wanted to chop down a huge old maple for the widening. My wife , a tree hugger, as myself, called the city to protest. The city would not allow the removal. I am not sure if he knows who called the city..(OK: , I'll give the point that we called in higher authorities). Tonight , my wife came in after retrieving our escaped hound dog, saying "we've got one of those next door".. This of course after being admonished about her dog getting into his yard. The fact that his cleaning zeal resulted in removing all the makeshift barriers to the dogs escape meant nought to him. All previous neighbors would pat the dog, and bring her home to say they had found her here or there. My opinion is this is the type of person who is spoiling for an excuse to war. I suspected as much of him after casually watching his desire to change everything about the place he had just purchased. The upshot here is, that up until 10 years ago I always had at least one neighbour of this elk, and I have never really known how to deal with them. You see he can call the pound or this or that agency, and continously make very unpleasant waves. What the F&%$%# is wrong with these types anyway?? These idiots buy a pile of bricks and dirt for a couple of $100,000, and somehow think they own more then that... knickers now in a knot, russell PS: purething, I don't think sending him slanderous e-mail will work, just a guess though..
