zurdo...I am beginning to think that not only did hpeace not know I don't think anyone did (Mason included) until the last second when the decision was made to dump inventories and aggresivley attack the new distribution model head on. The changes being made are drastic and they are being made PDQ. I'm sure there was plenty of discussion and they could have made the numbers work for one more Q when both confirmed earnings were ok but when the decision was made to follow this strategy the status quo company line had to go to. Of course I'm guessing but it fits the aggressive management stlye they are known for.

zurdo, he simply didn't know. period. the channel issue had been brought up before and he laughed at the notion.

the bottom line is that a bull market makes many longs look like geniuses and they get confused between skill and the combination of luck and bubble mania.
