That doesn't seem like a reasonable freight cost. I can't see any need for special environmental conditions during shipping. Regular shipment costs for a pallet of any weight shipped across the country is much less than a $100. I would think they could fit several thousand per pallet. What gives?

Also, why are you so sure the deal will close next week?

Hi Ted,

Was wondering where you got .35 cents for shipping? Seems
awefully steep.

Cheers!
Sev

Slowly but surely, Markatech stock is inching upwards again. I think if people want to take a chance, now is a good time to get in while things are still quiet. We'll be hearing more news from MKD in the coming weeks as their CD manufacturing plant ramps up. Their target production date is June, which is only three months away.

I've also been told that early next week is when we may hear the next news announcement. This one should get things rolling further. Once they have their plan approved by the VSE, we'll see a number of new developments, including the following:
- funds for marketing, product and stock promotion, etc. As a bonus, once they've gone through the official procedures to secure the funding, they'll be able to carry on with their Autonet product, which is ready to be sold to a number of interested parties.
- ordering equipment for CD manufacturing. They already have the building to house the equipment and a proposal to the equipment suppliers to order it. This will confirm everything that has been said about their CD manufacturing plans and give investors confidence they're going to pull this venture off.

As I understand it, there are a number of stock brokers interested in MKD. Most are observing developments and waiting for more news before they recommend it to their clients. When they know the CD venture will proceed as scheduled, that's when they'll start jumping in.
On a few occasions when I've called IR, there's a stock broker visiting their office.

What's good about the CD manufacturing is Spinner Records, which can fill MKD's manufacturing capacity. If you research Spinner, you'll see they're not only the largest independent record company in Western Canada, but also the largest distributor (for other record companies) as well. They have international gold-selling artists, so there's some good potential sales volume. Spinner Records and Markatech are located in the same city, so freight costs are very minimal.

As always, do your own research, including phoning Lawrie Koyle at Investor Relations at 1-800-338-7844. He can confirm or correct anything I've stated.
