Mephisto,

I believe the last two times Merck split its stock they were 3 for 1
splits. I do not have the dates that they did them available.

Hello,
You could buy 25 shares. If MRK splits 2 for 1 you would then have 50 shares. If it splits 3 for 1 you would have 75. You could even buy 1 share through MRK's DRIP plan. That way you could buy more shares whenever you have some extra cash.
