Mark, have you followed ongoing LMDS auction? It is another interesting angle to your fixed wireless preference. Most of the fixed wireless providers (WCII, TGNT, etc.) are primarily targeted at the business markets and RCNC and Commonwealth are primarily residential. Do you think L3 will also attempt to circumvent direct competition with these wireless providers by going after residential?

L3 has a mryiad of options in building out a 20,000 mile fiber network, with that a few queries.
Are you very familiar with what MFS business plan was as they were growing there national ATM network, might be some insight into Crowes plan? Possibly are there more decommisioned natural gas pipelines or other rights of way? As MFS was growing they had to file with FCC to force LECs to connect with its fiber network, this took almost three years to get approvals. Would/could L3 be filing now if they were intent on using (buying)CLECs/ISPs in various areas to build out there network(are these public docs)? Does this all change if they own them already?

Also my friend formally at Kiewit says that PKS Information Systems (based in Phoenix?)is used extensively to manage Kiewit projects/information across the country and that they are now offering the networking, legacy hosting service to other businesses. Is there a fiber CLEC in that area? Basically is the plan already functioning (in terms of the off the backbone connectivity), we just dont see it? Check a great resource at www.networkmagazine.com

Basically Im pretty green at the investment stuff but I feel confident enough in end to end internet networking for voice/data communications and Kiewit's construction/communication leadership to have bought in. If L3 is in aquiring CLEC/lease backbone mode are there opportunities to be had investing in CLECs?
