Welcome to SI. I'm sure you will be right at home here. I have enjoyed reading your many a post on Yahoo message board.

AS far as the dyano tests are concerned Yes Mr Heffel will be over seeing the tests. BAAT will not conduct the test. Firstoff remember that BAT has still not put together the exact test plan, that will be done with UC .

The car will be on rollers first to get emission data and some power data. UC will then remove the engine put it directly on the dyno to get the exact horsepower and torque measurements at
different parameters (rpm and loads). BAT will then pulse charge the engine, it will be done on site but it is my understanding that it will not be shown to the personnel at UC.

Once Pulse Charged , the engine will be put back on the dyno to repeat the horsepower testing -- then put back in the car and tested again on the rollers (the back wheels) and tested again for emissions. The test will be exactly the same as before the pulse charging so that a good picture of before and after can be shown.

As far as the quantitative and qualitative data ,BAT is going to use the same "map" that Ford Motor Company uses. This way there will be no conversions between method A and method B . Ford uses an international map , the key parameters are at 1500 RPM at 28 BMEP a measure of torque.
