Chris: >>> So, in other words, GT will have lower future income because of what Gathering of Developers is doing. <<<

Scott: >>> Let me put it this way: I think that many developers who do not publish through Gathering will benefit from the information we've released publicly. This is certainly the feedback we've received. <<<

[[[[You are dancing around the issue, Scott. You're talking about Gathering and developers. What about GT?]]]

Chris, remember that GT is shifting away from outside publishers i.e. Cavedog as a good example. Bear in mind that future income isn't completely dependent on what the other guy is doing. Sure it is a part of it but the PC game market is growing. I don't think that it's too far off to think that almost half of American homes have a PC. The computer companies are now looking at 2nd home sales as a very lucrative market. Combine this with continued downward pricing pressure and the user base is sure to continue to spiral upward. The rate may slow but nonetheless it is upward. Classic case of supply and demand. As the base continues to grow, the demand grows with it. In effect the possibility exists that GT or any other company for that matter may not feel any effect at all from an increase in competition. So can a Gang of Developers kill off GT and other publishers....not bloody likely. Besides, GT Interactive is it's own worst enemy. They seem to have a knack for doing more damage to themselves then any Group of Developers could ever do!

My answer is there, and it's not ambiguous. ;)

As I said, Gathering's existence will raise the profits for many, many developers (not just those signed with Gathering). Surely, you can read the message here. <g>

Gee whiz, Chris, I wish you'd stop misunderstanding everything that Scott says! You're the only one on the board who seems to be unable to comprehend what he so clearly tries to convey!

ROFLMAOBT!!

Oh, sorry to interrupt this information packed conversation, gentlemen [term used loosely]...I will just go off and make a few more trades then. [yawn] Gotta love this market today. And ain't it just too bad that the volume has dried up on GTIS? Do I smell a short?? [sniff, sniff] Hmmm...maybe that's just Scott's reeky public finger again... Well, we'll have to keep an eye on it today. The stock, that is.

xoxo,
V.

P.S.

Scott...I MISS YOU!! Come back to me, baby!! Ok, I'll beg then!

No, I won't. But you are such an egomaniac that you really thought I would, didn't ya??? :) I'll bet you even smiled a sinister grin when you read that last statment! DON'T DENY IT!!

[V. is suddenly overcome with emotion, and finds herself singing aloud about the prospects of GTIS and of course, her main man...err...boy... err whateverrr, that hunk a hunk a crapola...umm...burnin' love that he is...Scoot Miller.]

WHEW! Take a breath! And now, a one, and a two...Hit it...

Is it too much to ask, I want a comfortable gain,
I want at least ten percent?
Volume to lift it up,
Consolidation - and all that stuff.

Shouldn't I have this?
Would puts be less risk?
Couldn't I have all of this, and...
Passionate kisses
Earnings, not misses [OooOhhhh OoooOhhh]
Insults and disses, for Scott.

xoxo,
V.
