FWIW, in the Bear Sterns conference call on Monday, DELL CFO Tom Meredith was asked some questions about DELL's service support in the wake of the CPQ/DEC merger. While he declined to say what specific arrangements DELL was making, in response to a direct question on the subject, he pretty unequivocally said that DELL has "no intention of acquiring a service company".

Now while you wouldn't expect him to come out and say DELL was going to acquire DGN or some other company for its service operations, you'd expect him to be somewhat more vague than he was if DELL was going down the acquisition path?
