I am new on this thread, but i am long nextel 2000 30 calls...those leaps have been good to me so far...i am sitting here watching CNBC...David Faber reported on the nxtl upgrade, but he was rather skeptical, saying that they had negative earnings and even had negative ebidta (at least until the end of 1998)...he noted that nextel's price had gone up, but the market cap had not, because so much stock had been issued...hopefully Merrill Lynch has more sway than David Faber....

good luck today.

Eight minutes until open and the current bid is 30.06. 46 by mid summer, which is my target price, is looking better every day.

Wonderbread: Got the news on CNBC, however, other comments diluted news.

CNBC was not as excited as the Merrill Lynch analyst, they mentioned caitalization and number of shares outstanding, mentioned cash flow positive by 4th qtr 98, with a grin. The capitalization was not good, they commented about stock, stock, and more stock being issued.

Pop up today, then fall back, maybe not to 26. The fall back probably will come before the end of trading today. Quick profit hunters usually buy in to these deals.

For what it's worth....probably nothing. ORCL, looks good also.

Al G., not in the front, still under the covers.
