IFMX losing customers to ORCL

Nissan Motor Corp. USA, the marketing, sales, and distribution arm of Nissan in North America, will replace its Informix and Sybase databases with Oracle8. ''We want to simplify our technical infrastructure in order to reduce complexity and costs and improve service,'' said Rick Hencken, manager, technical services, for Nissan. ''We decided to standardize on Oracle8 because Oracle is the market and technology leader.''
