Perhaps a matter of semantics, but I'm sure you would agree that the "common good" is best served by protecting and upholding the inalienable rights of the individual, the smallest minority on earth.

Mr. Terrence: Your ideas of governments' roles are quite simply, a time bomb for civilized societies, with destruction of civil liberties the inevitable result: It is already happening, and it is ironic:

The same courts which legalize all manner of debauchery to be set loose on society are the same courts which now enforce laws restricting more and more freedoms. We ARE getting closer and closer to a real Police State every day, fomented and brought on by the ideas you espouse. More on this later.
