Hey Cheeseboy:

How come you came out of the woodwork now when BEAM gets approval for Astigmatism. Why didn't you share all of your intense knowledge when BEAM was doing nothing...why now-very strange for you to brutalize BEAM just when it puts out some real positive news especially when you've had 2 years to warn us...I just dont trust you..Mr. Savior...(JMO)...pappy

Cheeseboy: I do not know the technology to know if you are
right or wrong. I did send an email to a doctor at a local
University clinic last summer/fall and he replied back to me.
I asked him about the 'no touch' procedure and he did not know
what that was. He did say however that VISX and BEAM machines
were basically the same. I would say that the mobile VISX
machine would give an advantage independent of the technology.

I would liken this comparison to IBM vs. HP. When a buyer
of the laser is in the market he compares the current technology,
price and performance. Which ever company that is leading at
that moment and can deliver the best return on investment gets
the business.

I have not followed this industry long enough to know how
PPP was formed and why. My guess is that some judge could
not figure the difference between the two either.
And neither the judge or the two companies were smart enough
to forecast the future much less planning for upgrades and the
procedure on collecting revenue during trials.

I looked at the five year chart for BEAM and VISX a few minutes ago.
It appears that neither VISX or BEAM have done that well over time.
VISX is now just getting back to Jan. 1996. And I agree that
BEAM has fallen and not gotten back.

If the PPP is to continue then it would appear that the two companies
need to figure out how to increase procedures faster so that
buyers can get a better return on investment.
I have never seen a TV add for laser. I saw a Lenscrafter and
Pearle just today. Team up rather than bash each other.
