OK It's on my scan so I'll let you know.

But please keep in mind. Conventional TA cannot get you in at a bottom - only dumb luck can do that.

SPTR has a warm place in my heart. I bought some under 5 and sold over 18 for a LONG term gain (on all of it - boy that was a good feeling).

I traded around a core position of 1000 shares, all profits, but nothing beats those LT gains. And yes, I admit it, I sucked the initial 1000 off the bottom on nothing but dumb luck in December of '94 (or was it '95? - I gotta check). I love those year end tax sales for this.

I know "they" all tell you not to do it, but I put most of my trading profits into bottom fishing. Now we need 18 month gains - not 12 month gains. The average stock has an 18 month volatility of what 60%? You gotta get in near the bottom. The trick is finding it. Got to understand those base formations! If you get in during a base foundation, and you are right about the fundamentals, you have 18 months to see the fundamentals carry the stock up. In fact, if LT gains is what you want, It could be flat for a year, then rocket up in 6 months. When the company starts doing things dilutive (like kick out a secondary to all the dumb analysts now rating it a buy), you'll be there to sell.

BTW, I think this 18 month thing is going to change a lot of seasonal trading patterns. I doing 18 month pattern scans now. Everyone (smart) knows when their profits go long term.

Bought a little on the 23rd at 7 9/16.

Tried for more yesterday at 9, but the darn thing got away from me. Oh well. Hopefully we'll see a little consolidation between 9 and 10.

The bottom is obviously in place.
