I'd like other peoples opinions on this halt. I'm glad it was halted so that investors can catch their breath. There seemed to be a fair amount of selling pressure just before the halt, no doubt profit taking. But with the news expected to come out next week, surely now is not the time to be selling. Hopefully this lull will give investors the opportunity to re-evaluate the prospects for this stock, both short term and long, and they'll stay with it.

Anybody else???

News release coming out at the close... and it's going to be good! I have received this information from a source that has been very reliable in the past, however I cannot confirm that it is true. I will post what I have heard so that you can make you own decisions.
My source tells me that Pyng is about to announce that they are going to receive an "award of recognition from the FDA for most innovative product of the year!" This will be huge and is a great affirmation of the claims that PYT has made. As a shareholder myself I certainly hope that this is true. It would mean we will probably open significantly higher that when we were halted. The same source has also told me that the NBC rumor is true, they have expressed interest in covering the product although in what capacity I have no idea.
Again, I cannot confirm any of this, but hearing it made me feel a whole lot better about this halt, so I thought I would pass it on. Nobody likes a halt, it makes you feel helpless and trapped. But if this is true, anyone who got in this morning should be very happy they got in while they could. I was half expecting we would be halted after the big run-up we have had, this is the VSE after all. But I've got a feeling they wont have PYT to kick around much longer, the NASDAQ awaits...
Justin.

I am not doubting the company is releasing something, because they have to. But, under normal circumstances(and certainly this stock is not normal) the release of an NR would be worded like this:

Trading was halted at 10:05 am, March 13 1998, pending an announcement.

This is the way a VSE worded halt is posted:

Effective 10:05 am March 13 1998, trading in the shares of the company was halted, pending clarification of market activity and company affairs.

That does not mean that Pyng won't take advantage of a convienent halt and post an NR.

Just for your info.
