Tom,

I've been lurking occasionally on this thread hoping to see some discussion on technical analysis, so I was glad to see your post. I subscribe to David Marantette's newsletter and find it extremely useful. His track record speaks for itself. I am still learning about technical analysis and cycles, but I find myself relying on these tools more frequently when making investment decisions.

Regarding the POG, I am less confident today than I was on Monday of a technical rally in gold. I am still long, but I was expecting this week to be the start of a climb to the 310 range. If this move up does not start soon, it may be time to go short again.

Keith

Tom: Off the top of my head, two site that I use for charts with technical indicators options are: 1.) iqc.com and 2.) quote.com ....Since I don't follow individual Canadian stocks, I do not know if these two site have option for those companies. Most site do have an option to access the Canadian share. One need to read up at the "symbol help" button to obtain the necessary format for the symbols. The Quote.Com also has a current free 30 trial which I just started to use a few days ago. The free trial has a bunch of "whistles and horns". One thing a person can get is LIVE charts of the market in action. The chart changes as the price changes. Also running "bid and ask" prices are show. But one need "java" software for that feature.....Just printed out a daily chart of the US Dollar chart at Quote.Com. Going back to the early high of January, 1998 to now we have one of those "pennants- triangles" in place. Since I looking for a trigger to spark the gold market, I've been keeping (cont)

<< Do you happen to know of any sites on the web where one can get charts for Canadian stocks that will show moving averages, or other
indicators?>>

This is a site which discusses such a service. The software and access is free, but it's hard to get in when the markets are open. It's one of the few software that provides a range of technical indicators, but the time range of the graphic is limited. A plus for day traders is the 10 minute charts.
