Freeus, cash is a totally useless asset. You can't use it to do anything except exchange it for assets that earn money! Sitting on a ton of cash, like burying it in your backyard, simply makes no sense. Either you invest it in the business to give you future growth -- expand manufacturing facilities, buy other companies etc., or you give it to the shareholders -- dividends and share buybacks. Sitting on it is just plain bad management. You should only be holding the amount of cash you need to operate your business. Anything in excess should be invested.

Regards,

Paul
