Yet technology editor Joel Conover, who writes this issue's cover story, had something compelling to say, so just this once, I'll share. One word of caution before I turn it over to Joel: I don't condone sleeping with switches, IP or otherwise; the personal problems Joel expresses within are entirely his own. -Fritz Nelson A 3Com engineer recently visited our University of Wisconsin lab to show off the company's FastIP technology for our cover story "Slicing Through the Hype of IP Switching" (page 50).
