The Promise of More Bandwidth On Demand -- With projected sales of
$400M by 2001 and major players moving into the market, cable modems
will create reseller opportunities.

Until recently cable modems have been sold direct from manufacturers
to cable providers, who in turn installed them for home customers.

But now traditional computer industry players such as Cisco Systems
Inc., Bay Networks Inc., 3Com Corp. and Hayes Microcomputer Products
Inc. are moving into the cable modem market, opening up new
opportunities for VARs.
