Re -- FURTHER ACCEPTANCE OF THE AMD 3D STANDARDS.

Yup, a garage based company (whoever heard of "ares rising"), signifies broad acceptance.

Believe it or not, I predict that the K6-3D will be a hit for AMD when it comes out. AMD is smart enough to get game makers to write game softwares utilizing the 3D instructions. If the games are good and fully utilize the 3D instructions and show some speed improvement the K6-3D will be selling like hotcakes. Intel will likely to introduce their MMX2 soon. But who cares? What did MMX1 did for us in the first place? Games will be one of the biggest reason to upgrade or buy a new computer this summer. What it's good is that people can now upgrade their Pentium MMX or a K6 with a K6-3D for another $150.

Stockman can't foresee the implications of K6-3D. All he sees is AMD
short term loss and "Yup, a garage based company (whoever heard of "ares rising"), signifies broad acceptance."

Yes, Intel was once a garage based company and so is AMD and MSFT. Stockman you have no vision.
