Mr. Martin,

You are not stupid. You just don't yet understand what a real fkin fool you were to sign on this ship. Stupid has nothing to do with being a fool; and this is a ship of em. Look at the Paramount Venture! There is Midshipman Hauge bailin out the bilge's with teaspoons! And
proud of it. And Lieutenant Goodman tellin us we all gonna be rich on prize money even though all we done is get one ball after ta other below the water line. And like Midshipman Hauge says the Victualler Jones Gobbler gone and stocked the ship with weavilled tack and green and slimy salt beef. Mr. Martin you do the daily books and you can only confirm that. And then there's that mad man QUICK SCORE, the Capstan man who blew bye like a shimmering memory of some bad IR dream. And what about Ole foretop man Meck who went out in one of them storms and seems to be lost up there in the shrouds?

And now we got the Admiral. This be one named Horny? Or he be some Admiral of the Blue settin sail for a seat in Parliament? You know Mr. Martin, in all my years I've seen lots of Admirals. But there are two basic types. There is the ones that value their men and fight the
battle for em. And there are the ones that see the Glory of the fight posted on the pages of history and walk over the bent backs of the crew to get there. One who assumes the rank has got one te the other in mind. You can mark my words on that.

But you've joined a company of fools Mr. Martin. And we be rich or we be dead. and its all the same to me. Its my ship and I'm loyal to it. I'm goin to sack the Spanish streets o gold or go down fightin fer the chance.

But you don't got to listen to an old Warrant like me Mr. Martin. I been on the lower decks long enough to know the score. It'll be guys like the Admiral decidin our fate and not me...least wise that damn victuauller don't kill us first.

regards,

mnmuench
