Re: FLC's Recent Price Compared to Other Drillers

Hi Don + thread,

I am quite pleased with FLC. I think that (in a number of ways) the R+B--FLC combination led to a degree of price-depressing market uncertainty which is added to the current extreme depression of all the drillers due to crude price. I think this has given FLC a lower price relative to its usual position among the drillers, and an especially low price relative to its value. If someone needs to sell tomorrow that is unfortunate, but for those in a position to buy it is, IMVHO, an opportunity.

I bought more FLC today. Payed $25 3/4 , which is ~11 3/4 times estimated '98 earnings. I am pleased to have been able to get this fine company at this price.

I do believe it is quite possible that we will see lower crude prices, perhaps much lower, so lower prices may be coming for FLC, too. I'll be buying more then.

best regards,

diana
