RE: Class Action Suits

ATTN: Dr. Yuppie Sports Car

This morning I was doing some catch-up reading, Friday's WSJ (my wife brings it home from her office). Interesting article about the courts looking into one of these "make the lawyers rich schemes".

A recent "agreement" was announced between Knoll and the class action lawyers. The settlement called for over $80 million in payments....of that total $28 million was for legal fees. Each of the millions of class action participants will receive....$14.00......!!!! A judge in Chicago is looking in to this fine piece of legal work.

For all of you whining about your losses and talking up legal action, remember the world isn't always a nice place...even when you win your suit!

Dr. Porsche, you say that you don't expect to "win back even 5% of your losses". That sounds like "a gamblers way of looking at an investment." Secondly, you want the "rats from Roy to be penalized." Aren't you jumping to conclusions? Maybe they did something illegal and maybe not, this will be decided in a court of law. However did you note how many class action suits there are in the notices from the American Law Firms? So in your opinion there's lots of RATS out there. Anyhow the only winners will be the law firms. SR
P.S. My son's an IP lawyer and my husband's a judge so I can't be too hard on the legal profession. (GGG)
