That is a VERY GOOD summary of who Novell is and where they are going. As much as I have worked with the Novell staff over the several years I have not actually seen a detailed summary like that in writing. It does follow close to what I already knew about them. I might suggest to them that they consider putting that summary on the Main web site instead of hiding it in Australia. Good hunting Jim!

I have to say until I read this report - I have not really heard of the SOS term. I apologize for my previous statement that SOS is unheard of.

On another note

It appears that the canning of the CFO did not make as big a dent into Novell's price as the impression on the channel gave me the feeling it might. Talked to one of my Novell contacts that said he was impressed how the share price has seemed to stabilized in the $10 range even with the Class Action Suit and the CFO resignation (things that normally cause stock drops if the price confidence was not high at the current price). Many of the Bears appear to have left the stock. Appears to be a good foundation price for the next elevation. Aparently his opinion is that Schmidt would like to see the price to go up slowly and surely. Doesnt want to see a quick price fly (that explains Schmidt's interview comment on the recent profit actual vs estimate - when he said not to get too excited about this news). Also, he thought Schmidt would like to see $16 and not much higher over the next few months. Slow and steady stock price growth is good for the company and the shareholders. He also thought that Brainshare will likely cause a stock price blip - the excitement normally does.
