The company (Illuminet?) has requested that DSC say nothing about the issue, according to IR, and thus their silence. If DSC does miss the Q--and it appears that many expect them to do so, as you can see looking at its price--they will not preannounce until the beginning of April. I have no clue as to what the whisper numbers are now, but they are likely lower than 18c. It would be in the shareholder's interest to get an earlier warning, as ADCT has done. DSC will tread water until the picture is clearer. Bad news may finally produce the climax selling we need to start heading back up. Of course, the hope is that the bad news is only for this Q and not something more long-term--such as problems with MOT, etc. I would not be surprised if Vinik was the one getting out. Yeadon
