Your logic re; EAR is most assuredly and inarguably sound. Barring a takeover, perhaps by a national eyewear chain, or a merger with a broadly similar firm such as Sonus or ? ... I don't foresee these "doldrums" getting better, or worse, for the immediate future. Where was the HEARx you did your "walk-by"? What were your impressions (that you lowered your "sell")? Hope you profited on your exit and subsequent trades produce that somewhat elusive "gusto"! Best of luck!

Thread-- Received a 'private message' regarding EAR... and did a little digging. SEC filing 8-K dated March 26, 1997 was most informative. Huge overhang of Convertibles held by Soros/SFM is probable cause of doldrums. My guess is that they're unloading at 85% of market value (convertible price). Until these shares are exhausted... I see little potential in the stock. Regards, Paul
