Bob and Liam...

Many thanks for the advice on QP. I've had the demo now for about 2 weeks and have gotten acquainted with it to some extent. I keep hoping they will release QP2 any day and I'll go for that. I've about decided NOT to spend the money on R1. Hope that's not a mistake.

Liam...you are way out front of most of the rest of us. Sounds to me like you're doin' it full time. Needless to say, that's a goal of mine. But, it's not to be just yet.

Bob...I was glad to see you mention WOW. I've been a WOW user for at least 5 years. I don't use it nearly to the extent it's capable of. Probably none of us do. I've had moderate success writing scans for it, but nothing that has led to big trading successes. I find it complicated to write the "heavy duty" scans and I am hounded by the inevitable "syntax error". WOW makes no effort whatsoever to show you where the error is.

My most successful trades didn't begin to happen until about a year ago. That's when I started using a breakout method I came up with. I only had two losing trades last year after I started using it. But, I can't for the life of me figure out how to write a scan to find these. I am in hopes the approach will be a little clearer with QP. I would also expect to find help from those who have gone before me.

Thanks to both of you for the encouragement with QP. Ken
