Here's another message from AOL about the SparQ being discontinued. Could this be related to the earlier rumor about the SparQ being recalled?

At Insight the last time they received EIDE SparQ seems 1/28. It was moving very slowly -- inventory level moved from 257 on 1/28 to 123 on 3/11. Then, all of a sudden the status became "discontinued" while they still had the product in inventory. Seems a little strange.

At Merisel, the status still shows "Active" but there is no ETA date.

I'm not surprised if the product was discontinued due to slow demand or to be replaced by something more reliable.

Another thing that bothers me is SyJet. External model is not coming in to Merisel for over 4 months and there is huge shortage.
