solid comment that are very useful

#1 I share your concern as it relates to the general mkt. and you are right it is foolish to believe that dell will go up if the market as a whole tanks. I don't have any thing to add to a discussion about the general mkt becuase I don;t understand all the dynamics, I do appreciate your views

#2 I know you live in HK and I don;t know what Dell does there but here in the U.S 90% of dell sales are to large busines and govt and only 10% are to consumers.

#3 we can never trust mgmt. but over the years I think you would have to agree that the DEll execs have been pretty consistent on their execution and very focused on shareholder value

Good day ( or night as you are probably sleeping right now)

Jason

Many people seem to think that low-priced PCs won't
affect DELL because DELL customers are not that
price-conscious. I agree with you that when CPQ, others
target this market with very inexpensive, yet high-
performance PCs, DELL's customers will go after those
low prices. PC makers are getting ready to play hard
ball now and the days of DELL as a momentum investment
will soon be over IMAO. I really doubt DELL's PE will
continue to be 150% higher than its competitors. But
DELL's competitors PEs are not that low either for an
industry that's about to get ugly.
