Dwight, you do not want to get carried away here. Christine has offered you some remarkably wise and fair words and you have derided them as careless and ignorant, while in your side you have made some truly obtuse and misguided statements. Your faith does not give you any kind of high moral ground here. In the course of a few posts you have managed to insinuate that homosexuality is on even level with killing (I hope and I suspect that you did not mean this) as well as suggesting that purething ought to be kicked out of this country for offering an unambiguous biblical reference. Choose your words with care if you are going to be exacting with those of others. For my part I will not take you at your word. Yet the issue remains: Christians need to decide what is more sinful to have homosexual tendencies or to throw your kid out of the house when he has them? To my mind it is downright immoral to focus such attention on sexual proclivities while disregarding what amounts to parental neglect. What is your teaching?
