Remember, Gore was one of those anointed Atari Democrats and who wanted to mimic the Japanese state system of picking technologies. In the 1980's the Atari Democrats wanted to saddle us with analog HDTV. Thanks to Gilder and the Reagan administration, they were stopped. The Japanese centrally-planned their way to wasting billions on dead end technology and products few bought. Atari Democrat fits, just more apt now than then. Gore is surely as relevant to high tech as is Atari.
