To All: Fuel cells, fuel cells, everyone everywhere is talking about fuel cells. And I have also seen articles on a small-sized fuel cell concept(I'll have to rustle around and find the references for ya). Particularly a recent one about someone in the government labs at Las Alamos(spelling?), New Mexico. They've been able to build a cellphone battery-sized fuel cell that'll run on alternative fuels like meth-alcohol, etc., and just MAY have sufficient energy densities to warrant a closer follow-up look. Of course, creating one by hand in a test lab is a quantum level lower than being able to mass produce it, but the concept itself is intriguing.
However, despite the fact that I feel the 21st century will see the demise of the combustion engine(in MOST applications), should I be disturbed by the possibility of someday living in a world where, when I "belly up" to the bar for few afterhours brews, my cellphone, pager and watch will, too? ;-)

John~
