Hello Marcos;

Very well written analogy of Ven, and her somewhat tumultuous past. And yes they are no banana republic, they are there in the midst of as you have said some "remarkable" reforms, and maybe this has also added to the confusion for many to think that they will operate on the old premise.

My bet is with a Supreme court judge who helped oust a past corrupt president and had him charged. The lady has proven her metal in a very much male dominated world.

Much of what you have said is good, but my feelings are with the information I have that it may be too late for PDG, but then again their CEO just may be waiting on the court house steps with a last minute offer, he is known for playing a gambit to the last possible moment??

With regards,Frank

Hi Marcos,

"Which means, imho, a decision that is not 100% in favor of PDG/CVG or 100% in favor of KRY/Mael, but somewhere in between. A decision that, the case being so murky and delicate and precedent-setting, the legislators decide to deal with, whether at the request of the Court or not."

My opinion is... if the court wanted to exercise the "political correctness" of which you speak, I think that they would have considered it and nipped this in the bud through the first 3 decisions. After all, these Supreme Court Justices aren't exactly mentally challenged and could see where this was going all along. They would have known that there would be much less "fallout" from a quicker rejection of Mael's claims.

Just my $.02,
Ray

P.S. Marcos, I have enjoyed your posts in the past and find them quite balanced- keep it up!
