I have read somewhere on the net that Hyundai is going to spend $200M on semi capital this year - translated, they are history. Goldstar will spend $600M, meaning they will just barely limp along. Samsung will spend $1.2B, so they will remain powerhouse. On top of that, everybody else and their brothers (in Japan and also TI/Seimens and the like) are cutting back on DRAM semi capital expenditures.

Just for the HEI and LG, will no plant upgrade to build next generation, this capacity overhang should be over by the end of this year. And if the stock market is 6 months ahead ......

IMHO of course.
