To all: while we await the 10K let's go back to the 97 results press release:

nypostonline.com

1997 highlights:

Loss of 44.9 million vs. 19.2 million in 96. Wow That is what I call lossing money big time!

Now, a trivial observation: when you are loosing a s..tload of money and you issue stock you have dilution of losses per share! That may looks good to brainless people!

in 96 BFIT lost $1.58/share based on 12+ million shares outstanding.
in 97 BFIT lost $2.88/share despite a higher avg. share base of about 15 million! Without this losses would have been over $3/share!

BFIT has now about 20 million shares outstanding. Q4 loss was 1.05/share (notice their sloppiness lack of () around number. They probably thought Zacks would place it in the 100 list right away without checking the mistake) this was based on 20.5 million shares!

Had they had the same number of shares outstanding as in 96 (12.2 million) the loss would have been $1.76 or 70% larger!

Now, you could say but pancho the business is turning around (I would say turning down!) Despite the massive negative free cash flow (operations + investments) of over $38 million during the first nine months of 97 (CF data not avail. in press release).

Well in the second paragraph Mr. Hillman says Q4 revenues grew a wsurprissing 3%! I thought by Q4 some results from Mr. Hillman's plan would already start showing up! We are not talking profits here, We all know no one cares about that anymore, just asking decent revenue growth!

Revenue increase for the year is consistent with Q4 results, revenue for 97 increased a meager 3% vs. 96. I see lot's of consistency here!

Mr. Hillman, this does not look as much of a turnaround to me.

As asked in one of my first posts in the thread(if you are new to the thread you should read at least the first four posts), Why don't you talk about Q1 98 expected revenues when you say sales of your fantastic nutrients in January were 1 million?(has anyone checked the mediocre performance of nutrition related companies. Run a ticker search with the word nutrition on it and you will find a ton of candidates for shorting, if my memory does not fail me premier W. training company Weider among them. more on this in a later post).

Why were you running one year membership specials in your clubs in February? I thought you said you were going to emphasize ripoff 3 year expensive memberiships.

Is elasticity of demand/people spreading the word about your scam catching up with you? IS the Bally sucks site and the coming class action suit finally show justice eventualy prevails?

You can't build a franchise around a scam!

This will be the closing line to all my posts from now on.
