dj, thanks for the articles. some comments:

>>Some OEMs Selling Excess DRAM Inventory<<

so, all this demand that saw prices drop below gross costs was inflated? boy oh boy. short term is bloody.

>>Appleton to address Asian DRAM buildup at WSC<<

mu ramped up as fast as anybody last year. where is personal responsibility in all this? oh it was fun when mu was bragging about how great it was to be the #1 provider of drams. short party, though. what a hypocrite. don't blame him, though. he is paid well and it works ;-)

as for his being "sure" the asians are dumping, he was sure 5 times before. his sure equates to being wrong with a high degree of statistical probability (0-5). his desperation is obvious. he's fighting for his existence and will do anything including sell out his value system, imho.

>>An end to the DRAM glut in '98? Who knows?<<

the market says they kinow by the valuation given mu. at best it is uncertain. so much for discounting ;-)
