In Italy I have no idea but in the USA and in Canada it's out. They are distributing a very limited number.Consider two things on Matrox 1)It had very serious economic problems and it recouped itself selling the m3D( and damaging the image of Power VR) for wich it has difficulty payng for the cards to be produced
2) As a matter of fact the cards are practically produced by NEC,in wich it produces officially for Matrox the chipset for the cards, and certanly something else, since Matrox buys memory from NEC.
In any way, from a user of a Mystique 170 + RR,my advice is to think of a different combination at this point.
It would be better to have M-JPEG separate with a card Miro DC 20 or DC30(wich are sold at absurd prices in Italy unfortunately)
Why? Because in the next 3-5 months they willcome out with cards 2d better than Mistique and Millenium2,wich will provide options
wichthe DVx from C-Cube,a codec hardware M-PEG 2 DVD in realtime and low cost.
The first chipset to use DVx will be Intel i740,and the others will certanly not be waiting.I hope the prices for the cards Miro fall,so I can have both the codec hardware M-JPEG and M-peg-1/M-PEG-2 without spending absurd amounts, and in time replace 2D.
