Hi penni, Here's a couple of off the wall questions. 1. If a 12 year old boy and his 29 year old mother were stranded on a uninhabited island in the south pacific, how many years do you think it would it take before they had sex together? A. 2 years B. 5 years C.10 years D. never 2. If two 12 year old boys found themselves in the same situation as above, how many years would it take for them to have sex? 3. If two 12 year old girls found themselves in the same situation as above, how many years would it take for them to have sex? Something to ponder is'nt it? Jim

Hi Penni, well it looks like we have something to disagree on huh? How wonderful. :-) I must say, of all the ones to have answered the challenge yours makes the most valid points. But let me see if I can take them apart one by one. :-) Your point is valid concerning the power relationship of Mother/ daughter and Father/Son. However it disapears when your talking about a brother sister or sister sister marrying. That leaves the correlation still intact. Genetic dysfuctionality is a valid point, which Janice brought up earlier, however, we provide no sort of litmus test to couples who are predisposed to genetically dyfunctional children. We just accept the fact that if get married they will make the right decisions regarding giving birth. Also we are rapidly approaching a time when we may be able to alter the genetic code to ensure mutant genes are removed. Would it then make it ok to get married to siblings? Therefore, although it may confuse an already difficult issue it is a valid point and the correlation does exists. Michael
