Steve - regarding your comment:
Maybe it is someone who knows what PK has said, that 13/13 mu has gone up on earnings!
The pattern that I mentioned, is that MU has gone up 13 of 13 years (now 14 of 14) from the calendar 4th qtr to the calendar 1st qtr for an average of 133% for the 13 previous years. this winter, with the FANTASTIC earnings<gg> , it only went up 77%. The new 14 year average is +129%.
Should this tell anyone what to anticipate next winter? The only problem is that the calendar 4th qtr low has no pattern, and may occur in Oct, Nov and Dec. equally.
As far as earnings go, MU has had some BAD down days following earnings in the past. One was a year ago on March 17th, when MU had a decent earnings report (.18+.44). MU closed at 44.13, and a high that day of 45.25.
The following day, MU opened at 42.3, and had a low of 39.13, and the following day was as low as 36.88.
So, expect anything!
Patrick
